This is one of my favorite scenes from "HEAD". Critics believe that the whole movie was about The Monkees' story from their point of view, told as an allegorical pyschedelic fairy tale. This scene, in my opinion, parodies The Monkees' experiences with advertising, a sort of "must do" in their television carreer-as part of their contract they had to do ads for their sponsors, such as Kellogg's, General Foods, Yardley's, etc.. They also had to do ads for their own "Monkees" products.
